  • Notes
    • "Olive changed her name (by Deed Poll I understand) from
Olive Amy Evelyn Duncan to Olive Agar Duncan, the Ager
being some family name of her own mother's side, this I
believe was done for professional purposes as she taught
music, voice production, dramatic art etc. and was acting
with the University Players in these rolls she went by
Olive Ager. I had letters from her up till a year after
mother (Clara Edith Kelly nee Duncan) died - 2 Feb 1928 -
then no word, up to that time she wasn't married so don't
know what happened to her. I recon she'd be about 37 then
as she left Adelaide for overseas in 1915 and was then 25
I understand. Aunt Olive's address from America then -
      13 Nov 1926 - was
      Suite 2-S
      Butler Hall
      78 Morningside Drive
      New York City"

This is part of a letter sent to Edna Muriel Bleckly
Shutter about 1929. This letter is written by Doris Elma
Kelly grand daughter of Alexander Frederick Duncan and
Maria Crook and daughter of Clara Edith Duncan and Edwin
William Kelly, and niece of Olive Amy Evelyn Duncan.
