      Luke Lambord served as a soldier and, 1779, was in the
      Penobscot expedition which proved so disastrous. Our
      entire fleet was destroyed and the land force obliged
      to retreat.
      David Trufant was an active patriot throughout the war
      and was known in the district as "King David."

      Luke is also listed in the Sons of the American Revolution,
      Vol. 7, page 202. In this book he is listed as
      LUKE LOMBARD.
      Sarah Trufant Synett Leighton is a sister to my (Geraldine
      Lyons) great-grand-father Harry S. Lyons / Henry S.Synette.
