Luke Lambord is listed in the Lineage Book of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Vol. X, 1895, on page 53, #9136. Copy of Article: MRS. SARAH TRUFANT SYNETTE LEIGHTON. Wife of Emery D. Leighton. Descendent of Luke Lambord and of David Trufant, of Massachusetts. Daughter of William J. Synette and Rachel Small Williams, his wife. Grand-daughter of John H. Williams and Sarah B. Trufant, his wife. Gr-grand-daughter of David Trufant and Sarah Lambord, his wife. Gr-gr-grand-daughter of Luke Lambord and Rachel Allen, his wife; and of David Trufant. Luke Lambord served as a soldier and, 1779, was in the Penobscot expedition which proved so disastrous. Our entire fleet was destroyed and the land force obliged to retreat. David Trufant was an active patriot throughout the war and was known in the district as "King David." Luke is also listed in the Sons of the American Revolution, Vol. 7, page 202. In this book he is listed as LUKE LOMBARD. Sarah Trufant Synett Leighton is a sister to my (Geraldine Lyons) great-grand-father Harry S. Lyons / Henry S.Synette.
