    • In 1679, a William Dyson was transported into
      Maryland with a number of settlers, as indicated
      in the following land rights conveyance:
      "Know all men by these present that I, James
      Groome, Jr., master of the ship Globe of London
      do hereby assign, sell and make over unto John
      Llwellin of St. Mary's City all rights and
      interst for 3,400 acres of land due to me for
      importation of ..... William Dyson .....
      (and others). May 27, 1680."
