  Grave and burial site of Mary Ann Shaw Duncan: "Family Mystery" - from Pat (g g g grand daughter) of James Duncan of Adelaide, and formerly of Rothesay, Isle of Bute, Scotland, paid for the lease of Mary Ann Duncan's grave. James came to Adelaide in 1859 as a 19 year old and it is said that he had a relative living in the Adelaide area. Pat said that another "Family Mystery" is that James Duncan's aunt gave him enough money to start his own business - - who is this aunt and how come she had money to give him? James Duncan's coachbuilding/car business eventually became one of the biggest in Adelaide. Letter from cousin in Australia mentioned a connection with family in Scotland maybe Stornway, Ross & Cromarty. This may even be Mary's husband John Hales Duncan's family that is from Scotland.
